The belief that a well-designed space should support you and enrich your life by being functional, beautiful, and healthy is the guiding philosophy at McCarthy Design Studio. Led by your design goals and dreams, I create inviting spaces that function seamlessly for you and your family.

The beautiful natural surroundings of picturesque Muskoka provide the backdrop and inspiration for much of my interior design work. I am drawn to a contemporary, organic aesthetic with a refined infusion of colour and materials. 

With over 20 years in the industry, I have a varied design portfolio that began with an education in interior design and includes professional experience in architecture, interior design, and kitchen and bath design. I am a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and have taught the next generation of designers in the Georgian College Kitchen and Bath Design Program.
 

Having begun my design career in the green building industry, elements of sustainability and healthy interiors are thoughtfully woven throughout my work. From sustainably sourced materials and low- or zero-VOC finishes to energy efficient solutions, I prioritize creating spaces that not only enhance well-being but also minimize environmental impact.​
